Let’s learn natural textile dyeing with Sarah Eichhorn. Not only are natural textile dyes sustainable and have a low impact on the environment, they’re very accessible, fun to hunt for and take your sewing, weaving, knitting, crocheting, quilting or holiday gift project to the next level. In this three hour workshop, we’ll learn where to forage natural dye materials, how to prepare fabrics and textiles, dyeing techniques and finishing. Natural dyeing includes colorants derived from plants, invertebrates or minerals. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a sample notebook with 5 different recipes and fibers you hand dyed to take home and reference to make your own.
