Author of Soul Trapping, Ollie B LeFlore was born in Kosciusko, Mississippi in 1943. Poverty, lack of education, and his parents’ addictions and mental health issues led him to look outside the family for acceptance and a sense of belonging. After turning to the streets of inner city Detroit, Ollie became what he calls “an incorrigible criminal who would do just about anything for money.” In Soul Trapping, Ollie reveals what he learned from almost fifty years’ experience as a criminal and how age, education and spirituality changed him as a person and caused him to change his life style.
Nathan J. Reid is a poet and spoken word artist whose work has appeared in several journals, including the Penguin Review, Fox Cry Review, and Binnacle. He has a background in theatre and regularly performs his poetry at art events throughout Wisconsin. His first book, Thoughts on Tonight, will be released by Finishing Line Press later this year.
